With the GTIP you can explore the Global Terrorism Database (GTD™), the most comprehensive unclassified database of terrorist attacks anywhere in the world.

Every incident is recorded, analysed, and coded with up to 136 metadata fields, giving unmatched rigor and accuracy. The GTD™ is the work of a dedicated team of researchers and technical staff, supported by an alumni of students. The governance of the database is assured by an advisory board which includes some of the most respected academics in the field of terrorism research.

The GTD is produced by the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START), a strategic partner to Blackthorn .

The Global Terrorism Database is produced by the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START), based at the University of Maryland in the United States. START is a key partner to the US Government on asymmetric threats and is a research, training and education center dedicated to the study of terrorism and related phenomena.
